This indenture, made this
second day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty
eight Between James McReynolds of the County of Sonoma and State of California
part of the first part and B B Berry & Jesse Thompson Elders of the
Cumberland Presbyterian Church of the same place parties of the second part
Witnesseth that the said of the first part for and in consideration of the
premises and that the said parties of the second part will Keep in proper
repare[sic] and good condition the fence enclosing
a public burying ground and Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Anally Township
County and State aforesaid Does hereby grant bargain and sell convey and
confirm onto the said parties of the Second part and to their successors in
office forever in trust and as trustees of the said Cumberland Presbyterian All
That certain piece parcel or lot of Land lying and being situated in Anally
Township County and State aforesaid Commencing at a stake Mark "F" being the N
W Corner of the tract of the said B B Berry and the S W corner of the tract of
the said James McReynolds Witness black Oak tree marked with an old blaze F E T
N 62 1/3/4[?] E 45 links and an other black oak
tree N 52 1/2° W 64 link Thence N 31 3/4° W 19 links Thence N 22
1/2° W 5.54 chs Thence N 67° E 3.73 chs Thence S 19 1/2° E 5.76 chs
Thence S 67° 20' W 2.83 chs to the point of beginning containing 1-89 acres
of land Courses having reference to the magnetic meridian as surveyed by H B
Martin Co surveyor.
To have and to Hold the
above described land as trustees of Said Church and in trust for the public at
large for a Buring[sic] ground or Grave yard in
Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first
