Know all men by
these presents, that I, Didamia Cockrill, of the town of Bloomfield, County of
Sonoma, and State of California, being weak in body, but strong in mind, do
make this my last Will and Testament. Revoking all wills and requests made
heretofore, First, To my Grandsons E. J. Fowler
William W. Fowler I leave one hundred and fifty dollars each. to Fred H. Miller
and George E. Miller I leave one hundred and fifty dollars each, to my Grandson
Henry McReynolds I leave twenty dollars. Second:
My son T. G. Cockrill's part is to come out of what he now owes me. And R. L.
Cockrill has had thirteen hundred dollars which is to come out of his
part. I hold one note against O. H. Hoag, that,
and the interest is to go out of his wife's part. I hold one note against W. D.
Lake, that and one receipt for two hundred dollars against him and wife, which
is to go out of his wife's part. Third: After
these notes are counted out of their parts, I want an equal division made
between my children. Fourth: My son Bruce
Cockrill's part to be put out with good security, the interest to be paid to
him quarterly, the principle to be saved to buy him a home, unless in his own
sickness then he is to have all the comforts necessary as long as his money
lasts. Fifth: My three daughters I wish to have
full control of their portions, in case Ida J. Cannon should die before her
husband, what is left of her portion is to go to the remaining heirs. Sixth My House and lot in Bloomfield, I wish to be
either sold or rented, just as the heirs think best, My household furniture I
wish sold or mutually divided between my heirs. And Lastly, I leave William W. Fowler Administrator,
and my daughter Ida J. Cannon Adminstratix. In
witness whereof, I, Didamia Cockrill, the testator, have to this my last will
and testament, set my hand and seal this 24th day of December 1881. her
