Dear
Friends of Spring Hill Cemetery,
Seven sturdy volunteers gathered at the cemetery to tackle winter clean up. Thankfully, Jeremy stepped up once again to lead our effort, as I was once again unable to attend due to continuing family health issues. Sonoma County is in a severe drought, but the rains have finally started up, bringing an abundance of debris onto the cemetery floor.
The team was able to clear away dead and fallen tree limbs, rake the paths, and bring order back to the cemetery. All was in good shape except for a possible dead tree which Jeremy noted. We will watch the tree to see if it is resurrected with the spring, and report it to Regional Parks if it requires removal. We did have a possible workday scheduled March 28th, but as our group was able to complete the winter cleanup on February 21st, we will cancel the March date.
Our next workday will be Friday, April 25th. Please mark your calendars and come join us!
Best Regards,
Sue
