It is likely that Barbara Strickler, daughter of
the above Joseph, married either John Heaston or John Snider, and that Ann
married one of the three above. Her age would favor Geo. Roadcap. Daniel
Strickler died young, leaving a will in which he mentions his sister Margaret,
wife of Thomas Jones. One of the witnesses is a Beaver. This circumstance
favors David Beaver as the wife of his sister, Ann Strickler...
The Rothgebs
It seems that Joseph Strickler redeemed one Jacob
Rothgeb; that is, paid for his passage across the ocean, and a girl, Jacob's
fellow passenger, whom he (Rothgeb) afterwards married. They had two children,
George and Peter, and became the ancestors of most of the Rothgebs of Page
County. George Rothgeb married three times and had 19 children...
