Notes:
Ella Hoag's relationship
with the Hoag family in Bloomfield is not known
at this time. However, Victoria Caldwell, a descendant of Ella's brother,
David Elmer Hoag, believes that
Ella's parents were Milton (Obadiah Haight Hoag's
cousin) and Abigal Adams Hoag.
Ella lived on Haight Street in the
1920's, according to Victoria Caldwell, whose grandmother had visited Ella
there. Victoria's great grandmother, Emma Belle Hoag Clark, took Ella's
ashes to Petaluma after she passed away, to be placed in an unmarked grave next
to her husband and infant.
In "Bloomfield Cemetery Records, 1864-1967"
copied by Susan Appleton (Santa Rosa Annex 929.379418 Bloomfield), there is a
listing for "COCKRILL, Ella L., 1887 --1888." More likely an infant death and
not this Ella L. Cockrill. In Walter Aaron Cockrill's biography of Robert, he
states that they had a male child that died in infancy.
