These are the first pictures we took on September 20, 2003. No one has tried to ever clean it up as long as I’ve known. There is still some tin from the tornadoes of 1974. Laurel grows wild in this cemetery which gives it a pretty ground cover, but also makes it hard to see the snakes (if any snakes are around). Many of the stones are broken and 1/2 buried in the ground. Deers have been bedding down in this area too. No cows are in this area. The fence (barbed wire) is not much help, it's been trampled down and it's mainly a trip hazard.

On the private property off Iron Bridge Road.
From Bowling Green take HWY 234 (Cemetery Road) then turn left unto Iron Bridge Road. Go about 1/8 of a mile and turn right. The Cemetery is located at the edge of the woods on the ridge overlooking Barren River.

September 27, 2003-These two pictures are from the middle of the graveyard. The tombstone piece above has not been identified.

October 5, 2003- The fragment of stone belongs to Addie Claypool, daughter of Dr. Burrell P. Claypool. Addie’s stone is lying in front of her fathers but I can’t locate the base of the stone in this trip. I placed the tip of her stone with the larger piece.

We did uncover two large square stones that mark the entrance to this cemetery. I can't read the inscription but it's not a tombstone just a gate marker. Lots of babies and children (small stones) One stone (Claypool ) says OUR Babies and has two lambs facing each other. No names can be read so I assume these were twins that died possibly at birth. These were next to Stephen's grave.
