From Phyliss McMaster, "James Jerome THOMPSON," p. 1:
  John W. Fisher wrote his will in October of 1864 and it was proved in Madison County, Nov. 6, 1865 (Will Book A, pg 27). He mentioned only his wife, Sarah, and his two grandchildren by name. Their mother's name was not mentioned. The children were to get all the property which John had left to his wife, Sarah, when either she died or remarried.
