In the DeView column of The Home News, compiled by Lela J. Knight Ashburn in "DeView News From Days Gone By -- 1918," Rivers and Roads and Points in Between, Vol. XVIII (McCrory: Woodruff County Historical Society, 1991), pp. 44-45:
	October 25, 1918-- --Mr. George Wright wants a job, as blacksmith in some popular restaurant of his own choice. He says he is an expert fly-shoer. And while we have George in mind we might mention the fact that he is now taking his meals in McCrory.
	November 1, 1918-- --George Wright is trying to break his own record (five trips in three days) this week.

He was very knowledgable about Wright family history though could be difficult to talk to about such things according to Franklin Wright.
