From the History and Genealogy of the Bieber, Beaver, Biever, Beeber Family, by the Reverend Irvin M. Beaver (Reading, Pennsylvania; 1939), page 528:

Killed in a mill accident on the Robinson river, Madison Co., Va. m. about 1783 to Catherine Mauck, b. Dec. 29, 1764, c. May 29, 1829. She was a daughter of Daniel Mauck and first wife, Barbara Harnsberger, pioneers of Virginia.

In the 1785 census Christian was married and had one child. They resided in Shenandoah Valley, Va. After Christian's death she remained a widow for 12 years, then, Sept. 21, 1808, she married Isaac Strickler (a widower), of Shenandoah Co., Va. She is bur. in the John Beaver cemetery near Luray, Va. John Beaver was her son by her first marriage with Christian Beaver.

Note.----Isaac Strickler, d. 1817, was father of Nancy and Emanuel Stickler (by first marriage), who married John and Mary Beaver their step-sister and step-brother. No issue to second marriage. Christian and Catharine Beaver had five children.
