Fauquier County, Virginia Deed Book 1 1759-1763 pages 24-26. 13 Jan 1759. 13 Jan 1759. Articles of agreement and Bond between Thos COLSON and Margret, his wife of the parish of Frederick, County of Frederick and Jeffrey JOHNSON and Moses JOHNSON of Parish of Hamilton. Those who is now intermarried with Margret, the widow of Jeffrey JOHNSON, late of Prince William County, Virginia, deceased, who bequeathed unto his said wife, Margret, all his estate, real and personal, during his natural life and after her decease to be equally divided between two sons Jeffrey and Moses. Were as Thos. COLSON has enough for plentiful support and maintenance for himself and his wife... do hereby relinquish unto said sons all rights, etc. except two feather beds and furniture, one large trunk and all the pewter that belong to the said Estate, one Lin'n Wheel, and one gray horse. Jeffrey and Moses agreed to pay Thomas COLSON and Marg't his wife 100 gallons of cyder and 10 gallons of brandy. .. yearly and every year during the said Margret's life if it be a fruitful year with the said orchards on the premises.
