Notes:
Some information about him is available on the Cusenbary Historical Resource Site. Elijah Cusenberry was an early settler around Warren County, Kentucky and his name shows up early on the tax rolls. He had owned building lots in Scottsville and Polium, as well as a large amount of land and slaves through out his years. His son-in-law. Johnson J. Cockrill, administrated what was left of Elijah's land in the years right before and after his death. An abstract of his will appears to exist (CUSHENBERRY, Elijah Apr 8, 1816/Sept 19, 1835 Wife: Polly. Children: Obediance COCKRILL, Elizabeth WICKWARE, Harvey CUSENBERRY, Neil Mecan CUSENBERRY, Harrison CUSENBERRY, Lucinda CUENBERRY) and is indexed in Wills and Settlements 1840-1902 (Abstracts) for Allen County, Kentucky. |
