Notes:
Enumerated as Christina (a. 49, bp. VA) living with her husband Jacob McReynolds in the 1850 Census for LaFayette County in Missouri. Also listed as Christina (a. 52, bp. VA) with her husband in the 1852 California Census for Sonoma County, and Anna C. (a. 61, bp. VA) in the 1860 Census for Analy, Sonoma Co., CA. From McReynolds Family Westward Bound by Glenva Conklin (copied for me by Susan Zeni) p. 10: |
Jacob and Anna, sometimes going by her middle name of Christina, were in the 1820 census of Washington County, Virginia where they lived until about 1838 having most of their children born there and losing three children by death. Then their westward journey started and stopping in Illinois where Susannah and Isaac were born and again losing their two oldest children in death. Census show by 1850 they went in LaFayette County, Missouri and in 1852 they made their final westward journey settling in Sonoma County, California. It seems that Anna Christina was married earlier and had Nathan. Some family sources speak of Jacob and Anna having 14 children yet a family Bible lists 15. Since most of the early records of Washington County, Virginia have been destroyed by fire the marriage records of Anna and Jacob have not been found but it is presumed they were married sometime in 1819. Very little has been done on genealogy of Anna Christina Miller but her sister Catherine (born 1800) came with them on the wagon train. "Aunt Kate" never married and was known to smoke a corn cob pipe. Jacob wouldn't allow smoking in the house so she always smoked outside. She died 21 Sept 1890 and is buried in Springhill Cemetery. Two other sisters, Polly, married January 1, 1812 to Henry Ragel and Margaret, married to George Ragle. Family sources say Anna was Native American and German descent.

Nathan (3 Dec 1817 - 26 Aug 1838) and Martha (19 July 1820 - 15 July 1838) also show up in the family Bible record according to Glenva Conklin as being her children.
