Notes:
Because of a poor copy of the Watson Family Bible, her year of death was first believed to be 1871. A further comment (21 May 2003) from Terrie Treadway about this: |

What about this? Instead of Jane dying in St. Francis county shortly
after she arrived in Arkansas, the Watson's are in Ark. for almost 10 years
before Jane's death. By this time they have moved from St. Francis county. Now,
W. P. Watson and family was in the White county census in 1880. The township
was the same as the town of El Paso where Henrietta's brother H. K. Adams
lived. H. K. Adams and most of his family is buried in Grizzard cemetery in El
Paso. That cemetery can be located on the Rootsweb-White county Ark website.
There are several old unmarked graves in that cemetery. My thought is that Jane
and F. W. may be one of the unmarked graves. White county land or court records
might prove a date for W. P. and Henrietta's arrival in White county and this
show them in White county prior to Jane's death. |
