Enumerated in the 1850 Census for Bates County, MO, living in District No. 6, with her parents, Jacob and Catharine Beaver. She is listed as Lucy, age 13, birth place: Ohio.
Believed to have been a member of the 1853 Hagans-Cockrill party, along with her brother and sister. It could be possible that their parents had died and Henry Beaver took them in. Their relationship to Henry Beaver is unknown at this time, however, it appears that Lucy's husband had business dealings with James and Mary Case. Lucy's sister, Mary, was married to Mary Case's brother, Dudley Meyers.
