Different birthplaces listed in different censuses, family papers indicate Terra Haute, Indiana. In 1834 lived in Fountain City, Indiana then moved to Virgo County, Indiana. In 1841 lived in Crawford County, Illinois for about two years and then moved back to Virgo County. Harris family moved to Perry Township, Davis County, Iowa in 1846, and shows up living in that township with his parents in 1850. Phillip and Elizabeth's first child was born in Bloomfield, Davis Co., Iowa where they were married. Their second child was born in Missouri in 1856, while there third was either in Missouri or Iowa in 1859. Their fourth child was born in Bloomfield in 1862, while their fifth and sixth child was born either in Missouri or Iowa. Their seventh child was born in Iowa, and their eighth child was born in Cooper Township, Gentry County, Missouri. They were living in Cooper during the 1870 Census. Their ninth child was born in Darlington, Gentry Co., Missouri. In 1875, Phillip was witness to the marriage of Sarilda Harris and Theodore Norris in Santa Rosa in 1875. The family lived in Santa Rosa until 1878 and moved back to Missouri. The 1880 Census shows them living in "Township 62, Range 30" in Gentry County, Missouri. Were living in Arkansas City, Crowley County, Kansas according to deposition signed 22 May 1890 by Elizabeth J. Harris (Re: William Atha's Military Pension). Death Records for Gentry County were lost for a seven to ten year period due to fire, but Phillip died either there or Kansas.
