Notes:

In the 1880 Census for Sonoma County, a Henry Schwan is shown living in the Wendt household and listed as "nephew." He is 19 years old, employed as a farm laborer. He was born in New Jersey, his father was born in Bavaria and his mother was born in Prussia. No Schwan is listed in the 1860 Census for Sonoma.
