Notes:

From Phyliss McMaster, "James Jerome THOMPSON," p.5:
Albert is first seen as Albert S. Thompson, 8 years old, born in AR and living with his parents as of the 1880 census of Woodruff County.

From the Woodruff County News (McCrory, G. W. Kramer, editor), Thursday, May 16, 1907, Deview News (from Gayle Martinsen):
  A. S. Thompson is having his gin repaired and getting it in good running order for the cotton crop of 1907-8.

Note from Gayle Martinsen (Jan 2001):
  A. S. is Albert Sidney Thompson son of James Jerome Thompson, brother to Callie... F. P.'s brother-in-law... and the rest - He is the one that brought or repaired F. P. Wright's cotton gin & saw mill... I remember Henry saying that Pa Pa [F. P.]didn't like Albert Thompson... by this time his first wife Martha [Thompson] had been dead a long time. The Thompsons were well off and there was probably a lot of envy there.

Burial listed in Cemetery Records of Woodruff County, Arkansas, Volume II (East of the Cache River), by Adelia C. Kittrell and Curtis A. Houston, p. 244:

  ODD FELLOWS CEMETERY: South Half
[Thompson], Albert Sidney, b. 1872, d. 1929

There is another listing under Albert Sidney's which is unclear who it is, since his mother, Mary Jane McCauley is listed being buried next to her husband (as well as the birth year matches that of his wife).

  ODD FELLOWS CEMETERY: South Half
[Thompson], Nancy Jane, b. 1875, d. 1904, mother
