Notes:

According to the a note written by Eliza Jane Thompson in a family diary, was still alive on Dec. 25, 1927 (this document also lists the names of Permelia's children).

A photograph also exists of her with Eliza Thompson, from about 1926.

There was a postcard in my grandmother's collection which I remember as a small boy. It was from a R. J. Ransom, 210 W. First St., Danville, Ill. to Mr. & Mrs. John Wakeland, Sebastopol, Calif. postmarked July 11, 1939, announcing a Wakeland-Ranson family reunion in Danville, IL in 1939. My attempt about ten years ago to make contact with contemporary members of the Ransom family (as well as the Wakeland family) in the Danville area failed.
