Lived close to his brother John in a two story house in Forestville with an old chicken house and barn in back. Clytus and Eldon are mentioned several times in Sarah P. Wakeland's diary. Clytus's marriage to Charlotte Oden is also mentioned.

As a child, my father, along with his sister and cousin (John Curtis) visited and stayed with their uncle and aunt several times.
