Notes:
Listed in 1947 Texarkana City Directory as an "Electrician." Lived with Henry and Pearl Holland at 310 East 6th. In 1957, lived at 902 Texas Avenue, San Antonio with wife Lucy, and was salesman for Prudential Insurance Co. Was in the drapery business with his brother Joe, for a period of time, though Joe left the business for other work. James later had a truck with his business logo painted on it. James' drapery business went bankrupt in Houston or Comfort, Texas after 1954. He lived in Comfort during his later years. Pat and I passed through the town in 1995 and attempted to find were he used to live, but the house appeared to be gone.
Jimmy then married Lucy Reinhart and they had two children: Gary and Jimmy -- Jimmy is the oldest. When they had Pearl Holland's funeral, Jimmy Holland's first wife Florence came, and Judy came -- Judy was like 14 or so. Florence was very attractive. He was married to Lucy then and they had that one boy, Jimmy -- I don't know if she had the second baby yet -- she might have been pregnant, I don't know, because Jimmy and Gary are only a few years apart. But anyway, Florence sat there at the dinning room table telling about how happy she and Jimmy where when they were married. Lucy got all jealous and it was really a bad time. I rode up there from Houston with them. Lucy gave Jimmy some kind of words about Florence on the way back.
James divorced Lucy ten years later and was single for a good while and then married Juanita Rodriguez. They had a girl named Jaimie. She is about 19 now. She wrote and said that her mother had died in the past few years. Jaimie was studying to be a nurse. Jimmy and Joe were in business together at various times. Jimmy was a very personable person and most everyone liked Jimmy the best of the four. He was a very handsome man and very charismatic. Everyone liked him a lot.
