A primary source of Wendt family history for this website.
I have many fond memories visiting my Aunt Margie and Uncle George both in childhood and as an adult. They were warm and friendly people who took a genuine interest in hearing what I was up to when ever I would see them. In regards to working on this genealogy, I enjoyed visiting them from time to time to tell them of my recent discoveries and looked forward to hearing their responses. I miss my Uncle's hearty laughter and the casual way in which my Aunt would tell an old family story: often looking out the living room window as if she was actually seeing the story unfold upon the front lawn. With their passing, the direct connection and continuing dialogue between me and my father's generation of the Wendt Family is now essentially gone. |
